Decompression.

Vora Works LLC is an independent software lab focused on engineering cognitive decompression. Guided by research into cognitive load, our design philosophy recognizes that the brain doesn't simply "power-cycle" — it requires deliberate, low-stakes environments to clear attention residue and recover.

From offline puzzles to future productivity applications, we build transparent, user-respecting digital tools designed to lower cognitive load and help you detach from the "always-on" state.

Designing for Ultradian Rhythms

The brain operates in 90-minute cycles of high-frequency activity followed by a 20-minute recovery trough. Our systems are engineered to support both phases. During deep work, we intentionally minimize the "tool switching" and context shifts that deplete your executive function and create attention residue. Then, during your natural downtime, our low-stakes utilities help you actively disconnect and recharge.

Attention Restoration

Jumping between tasks leaves an "attention residue" that actively drains your focus. We address this both while you work and when you rest. During the workday, our systems keep you in a single environment to prevent mental fatigue. Then, during your downtime, our games use simple, repetitive tasks to engage your brain effortlessly. This gives your working memory the exact type of rest it needs to clear out the noise and truly recover.

Psychological Detachment

When your job requires you to constantly anticipate the next problem, your brain gets stuck in a stressed, "always-on" state. Our low-threat digital environments help you break this cycle. By stripping away artificial urgency, intrusive notifications, and manipulative design, we signal to your brain that it is safe to drop the "backup mindset" and finally rest and recover.

Our MVP (In Development)

The 'plane' Game: Our initial offline utility. No login, no internet. Just a plain game for your plane ride. A minimalist puzzle designed as a different kind of challenge—one that uses simple, predictable mechanics to help your mind disconnect, reset, and recover at its own pace.

Pragmatic Infrastructure

We evaluate our tech stack based on friction, not dogma. By utilizing a pragmatic mix of low-overhead frameworks like Godot and Penpot, alongside privacy-locked data architectures, our development pipeline is designed to minimize our own cognitive load. This ensures we can focus our energy entirely on building ethical, secure tools without compromising our users' data sovereignty.

Development Roadmap

Phase 1: Foundation Release of "The 'plane' Game" MVP. A strict offline-first architecture.
Phase 2: Continuity Implementation of opt-in, end-to-end encrypted state synchronization.
Phase 3: Optimization Leveraging Vertex AI within a privacy-locked Google Cloud perimeter.
